Staccato opened its doors in Februaury of 2001. Serving as the area's
only true piano bar, Staccato and its Kawai baby grand hosted some of DC's finest jazz, classical, and pop piano players in an intimate lounge setting. Martini specials were a favorite at the bar. The couch lounge upstairs provided a nice retreat from the livelier downstairs bar.
Soon, Staccato began to diversify
its entertainment offerings. Rock bands playing "unplugged" fit perfectly on our cozy stage, and with our patrons as well. A couple of dissenting voices led to some soundproofing additions. Like a wise man once said, "you can't please EVERYONE now, can you?
Open Mic Night - Every Tuesday 8:00 pm to 1:00 am
Staccato offers the areas most popular open mic night with some of the areas hottest local performers. Musicians who play any acoustic instrument are welcome. Our baby grand piano is open to all pianist as well.
Showcase your talents or simply drop by and listen to some good music and perhaps witness the next big star in the DC area. Sign up is every Tuesday at 6:30 pm
Sunday Jazz Night
What better way to cap off the weekend than with a relaxing night at Staccato to hear live jazz. Music starts at 9:00 pm.
