To be considered for booking at Staccato, you must have your own draw of 25+ legal age persons. Booking requests should be emailed to James at: bookings@staccatodc.com and include link to MP3s, brief band bio, and approximate draw. Please don't call or mail demos in, we book entirely online.

PERFORMANCES

*Do not put up posters or flyers on any public space in Adams Morgan (trees, telephone poles, etc.) Staccato would be held liable and could be fined.
**You must have your own draw to play at Staccato, and please be honest when estimating your draw. Clubs that support original music can only survive by this cooperation. If you do not draw 25+, we cannot re-book.

1.***All shows at Staccato are 21+, no exceptions.

2.On weekends, Staccato supplies a doorman to collect. The cover is $5; bands get $3 for every person they bring in. If you are playing on Wednesday or Thursday, you must bring someone to collect for you ($3), or it can be a free show, or you can put out a donation jar for yourself.

3.bring as little extra gear as possible as there is almost no storage area besides the stage.

4.please load equipment immediately on stage when arriving, if another group is playing or setting up, bring your gear UPSTAIRS and store in front of mirror. nothing can be left on floor in front of stage, that includes during the performance. there is not enough room for people as it is, and we can't have gear making the room even smaller.

5.DO NOT put equipment down in front of stage when arriving, place on stage or upstairs. (i figured i'd say it again to stress the importance).

6.there is a snake on stage and the soundboard is at the back of the room. usually the barstaff run the sound, but if you have a soundman, great, the barstaff will show him/her the setup and step aside.

7. the club uses an 8-channel mackie mixer and has 3 mike setups with boomstands (SM58s). there is an upright baldwin piano on stage, it is miked, in tune, and performers are welcome to use it. it can't be moved off stage though. there are 3 more 1/4" direct inputs on the snake (no DI necessary) and there are a total of 5 XLR inputs for use. we have 1 monitor.

8.if you send us or supply us with posters ahead of time we will put them up in the bar.

9.feel free to sell merchandise at your show.

10.band performers get a 25% discount on their bar tab(for bandmembers only, no friends on tab).

11. for weekend multiple band nights especially, please arrive by 7:30 for setup and soundcheck, share equipment (drums, bass rig) whenever possible. we can put you in touch with the other groups playing to work it out.

12. with exceptions on certain nights, weekend sets are usually 9-10:20, 10:30-11:50, and 12:00-1:45...weekday sets are usually 8:30-9:50, and 10:00-12:00....

13.although not required, very loud drummers may be asked to play with "hotrod" sticks instead of regular drumsticks because of a signed agreement with a neighborhood group concerning noise level.
